The Cover Of The Obama Budget Will Be What Color?
One of the biggest questions veteran budget watchers ask this time of year is "What color will it be?" Only a handful of people usually know, and they typically don't tell. We generally don't find out until the OMB director takes the obligatory picture with his/her baby at the Government Printing Office.
So here's your chance to play. What color will it be?
UPDATE: It's dark blue.

Waste of Time
get serious. with even a few seconds thought you can do better than this...
A bipartisan red, white, and
A bipartisan red, white, and blue. But more red.
But what shade of red?
The shade of Rahm Emanuel's face tomorrow when everyone learns he also may have cheated on his taxes?Or the deep vermillion of Uncle Sam's apolexy watching another whirl of trillions go up in smoke?
In case anyone is curious, I

The final decision may dimply hinge of what color of ink the GPO needs to get rid of this year.
Kindle?
Will it be available on Kindle?
I vote for "fire engine red"/
Cover
Whatever color the cover, it should come in wrapped in brown paper-- like all other obscene material.
At risk of stating the
At risk of stating the obvious, isn't the only appropriate color red? In fact, shouldn't the ink throughout be red?
OK, I’m going to expand on my
OK, I’m going to expand on my comment above regarding red, just to cover other possible colors and what they could represent:
Blue – for how the country is feeling (see also “Maroon”).
Sky Blue – for how high our deficits will be.
Green – for the “span” who thought financial institutions would self-regulate sufficiently to avoid the current meltdown.
Burgundy – for the Ron whose level of judgment and prescience we can be sure is reflected in the budget and projections http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JgvSD9joKk
Maroon – for that pervasive feeling of having been left stranded with few resources and little hope of rescue.
Yellow – for the politicians who lack the guts to take on the long-term fiscal imbalance, thus setting us up for an even greater eventual pain.
Orange – for: Orange you pissed as hell at all the people who caused this friggin’ mess http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/article/0,28804,1877351_18785... (Scroll down at that page for ranked list)
Tan – for what you’d like to do to the hides of those a—holes.
Gray – for what is now the most common natural hair color of Americans in their 30’s and 40’s.
Aqua – for where folks who have lost their homes can live if they can just grow gills (maybe Forest Green would be a more practical suggestion).
Gold – well, just do what Mr. Liddy tells you to do before he hurts someone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3809870FkO0
Purple – for how your cat gets you to keep buying that expensive, super-premium cat food………. (purr pull)
White – to save money on printing the darn thing (just go B&W; no one’s impressed anyway).
Brown – for the substance our current economy most resembles.
And whatever of the above colors is chosen…
Pastel – for our nation’s faded glory.
Three options...
In ascending order of likelihood:
1. Ballet Slippers
2. Puce
3. The Color Formerly Known as Purple
