Tim Geithner Out?

The New York Post takes a huge shot at him here. I still don't see Geithner leaving, however, due to the lack of a credible replacement. Larry Summers could easily step in, but how is he ever going to get Senate confirmation? Same goes for every other viable private sector figure because they all come out of Wall Street or banking and, therefore, are politically if not ethically tainted. Paul Volcker is too old and everyone else I can think of is a Republican. So, like it or not, I think Obama is stuck with Geithner until we are well past the economic and financial crisis.

Addendum

Further evidence that Tim is here to stay, at least for now.

Geithner

Pray tell what is the age at which someone is "too old" to be Treasury Secretary? Is there also a cutoff for lack of age? Being a bit discriminatory aren't you.

How about Sheila Bair?

The rumor I keep reading is Sheila Bair replacing Geithner. Do you believe she is too politically or ethically tainted to be confirmed?

Whether or not...

Whether he goes or not, TurboTax has made sure it won't take the fall for him again.

Peterson CFR Greenberg

Geithner is tied to Rubin and Kissinger at the Council on Foreign Relations, wher Hank Greenber of AUG was a key directors, which was supervised by Pete Peterson , of Blackstone/Blackrock, an important player in Bear and the bailout,. Peterson hired Geithner at the nY fed where he was chairman of the board of the NY fed at the time. It appears that Peterson and Greenberg are the organizing characters in this criminal organized crime action., felony fraud. Peterson and Greenberg are often left out of news accountsm they are very influential billionaires funding both parties.

Nonsense

The previous comment is complete nonsense.
